ok ok, sooo im puttin the whole setup in an 01 jetta
and at the moment my 2 way has no midbass, how can i run a 2 way without distortion at high levels with a 2 way setup. Would save me on the active crossover though... Can i run a two way and add a midbass perside extra to help supplement?

Yea. High pass the midranges higher and then build a bandpass for the midbass.

Yep.
If you get Q Forms, make sure you reinforce them. I understand they're pretty flimsy.

Ya I used to have the Q-Forms back when they first came out. they were pretty flimsy. I didn't like how they fit either, they just didnt' fit right.

its not gonna be warm enouhg for me to make my own till like may lol and i want this done long before then. So i can buy q forms and resin the inside of them and they make two styles of them for my car 6.5s and 5.5s im going with the smaller to perserve leg room on the drivers side. If they dont work out well i can wait and make my own i guess. And what kind of car did you put urs in chris???

I had them in the Camaro they were the first Gen of them, so maybe they've made them better now.

Whta I didn't like was, the factory kicks wrap around near the door. The Q-forms didn't, they just came with a piece of rubber that covered up the metal of the car.

i think the 5.25s for my car will be a little more rigid then the larger 6.5s mainly on the fact that they have a more curve to them then the flat faced 6.5s plastics is much more rigid with curve and dome am i correct?
