I'm not sure on the finish. I like wood grain stocks and black stocks both with blued barrels.

But I think I've changed my mind entirely. I think I'm going to go with just a .22 cal. I think I'll wait until a few years before I buy a powerful rifle.

It's really just too much to spend right now on something I'm not going to use often. Right now, I can borrow some friend's guns :-D

Now the question is, what 22!!!??? lol

So far I like the Ruger 10/22 and the Remington 597.

not to jack this but seeing as we have a real gun expert on the forum here, i wantted to ask him a question... If you were to suggest a gun that would be fun to shoot and take to the ranges, what would u suggest... I like guns that have lots of power to them but not a huge price tag... of course though i want accuracy as well. Im from CT, and we have a few Hunting groups up here, but im really not into that, im more of a shoot for fun and target practice person. Any suggestions besides a Handgun?

thanks man, but I hardly consider myself an expert on guns. I am more of an expert on what guns can do to a fleshy substance, ie: men, women, pigs, cows, large bunnies, badgers...wait, we don't need no steenkeeng badgers, skunks, and general pests thereofandunto.

I like a good old wrist rocket. Master that, and boars don't have a chance.

and the 22 pistola is the execution method preferred by the Italian Mob...bullet is powerfull enough to pierce into the skull but not powerfull enough to exit the skull, so the bullet just bounces around inside the skull allowing for some greymatter soup to be created.
