what is that stuff? It just looks like black foam... If so the only thing it can do is decouple your door card from your door.

You should get some CLD mat on the sheet metal of the door (and not the shit that doesn't do anything) Also, do your best to seal the inner door sheet metal so you don't get rear wave cancellation.... You'll thank me for it with those mids in the doors.

If possible, get them angled a little bit towards you as well.

Another thing, how did you mount that speaker to the door?

I highly suggest using a baffle... I can't tell what you used, but if you screwed it right to the sheet metal I'd really recommend changing that by making a baffle that is as large as possible.

No its not foam. Its V-blok from parts express. It seems to do a pretty good job, at least for my needs. I know what you are talking about with the CLD stuff. Thanks for the input.

You know I have had more fun on this build, than I think I have any other build for myself. This build has been about enjoyment. I didnt do everything right, I didnt use the best equipment, and the color on the carpet dont match. But I did the best I could do for my level of experience, I used the equipment I wanted to use and the color on the carpet dont match, but you know what it dont matter, cause I built this system for me, and my personal enjoyment. This system has allowed me to get back to what got me into car audio in the first place, ENJOYMENT.

Thanks for looking,.

It pounds pretty good. I need to set the gain with a DMM but just setting it by ear, it dont sound bad. Its actually got more of a punch to it, and that is what I like.

Im happy with it.

My wife pulled in when I was adjusting it, and she said it sounds like it hits you, not that crazy kind of bass where you cant hear any of the words. LOL
