[quote="cargodz"]Oh and did anybody catch this one: aboutdotcoms 09 ZR1
At least the General is trying to keep up, but with a $100K price tag... But I'll definately give credit where it's do (620HP), 115hp more than the current Z06... 200+ MPH, and talks of 3 and a half second 0-60... The old General has brought her a long way since 1953s inline six cyl. ]

Our Cascade Crew admin posted this about the ZR1 yesterday, thought I'd share. I like the way the supercharger fits on that motor...

The Z06 "isn't even close" on said auto review, yet runs 121.8mph in the 1/4 vs 120.9 for the GT-R? People put too much emphasis on the times...times are much more driver dependant.

This car does remind me of how the 911 Turbo needs to get that dual clutch (PDK) tranny. That'll make the car just flat out sick. They're supposed to do it shortly, who knows...

A Subaru Impreza WRX-STI would be a fun car to tweek. All wheel drive and comes stock with 300 hp and 300 ft. lbs. of torque. IIRC.

New management at work, making "changes" that are mostly changes in semantics... plus updated versions of ideas we tried 20 years ago and didn't work :p Been swamped lately

Don't get why Porsche hasn't already put the PDK in the 911 Turbo considering they've been racing with it since the early 80s. Hell they were the bigger developer of these transmissions

I'd take any of these cars mentioned! They all haul ass, corner at crazy speeds, and chics dig 'em. I would pick a Ford GT over them all, just based on looks alone. I grew up drooling over 60's fords and shelby's, so thats what I like. Who am I kidding though, I can't afford any of them! I'm with Terry and Airforceyooper on this one, buy something you can afford, and mod it to fit your needs........er........wants.

I think you mean the EVO X... Cause I got to drive an Evo IX MR last year... They along with the WRX-STi and a few others would definately fit the catagory of affordable... That tied in with the huge amounts of aftermarket goodies, either can be realistically built into high 10 second street cars... probably the cheapest new car that I've ever drivin that was just a fun car to drive had to be the Nissan SE-R... I admit it was No EVO, but for $20 grand I'd say that there are few that can touch it in the price range and really fun to drive catagory :thumbsup
