why is it such a big deal to set two amps?

it isn't it is just easier to set both with the master.

because most people are idiots and don't understand amps and electricity.
Its just as easy to do it with both amps as it does strapping.
Wire the subs in series
so each is 4 ohm.
Take one piece of wire (single piece) connect the negative of one coil to the positivie of the other. then take a piece of wire and wire the positive and negative left over. check with DMM should read 4ohm.
do the same for the other sub.
take both sets of wire that are coming out of the box and connect both positives to one amp and both negatives to the other.

does it matter which amp I connect the pos. and neg. wires to? I know when I strapped the US Amps I connected the pos. to the master amp pos. terminal and I connected the neg. to the slave amp pos. terminal. Do I have to do the same with these amps. And I am not an idiot and i understand how to set my amps individually I just want to know how to strap it so I have options.

yes thats how you connect it. it should be in the user manual. and if taht doesnt work call mike!!! like ive said three times now.

Strapping amps is harder on the amps just run them each sub to each amp. but its obvious you really want to strap them if thats the case and your unsure how to do it call mike at maxxsonics your risking your equipment again!!!

I plan on calling him before I do anything. And as I said I do not plan on running them strapped I just want to know how to, this way I have the option, if I need to.

I am not risking my equipment and never have, that is why I consult with people before I do anything I do not understand, and no the users manual for the BXI2607 does not discuss where and how to run your subs when they are wired like mine. It only has a diagram of a wire coming off of each terminal, 2 pos. and 2 neg. I only has 1 neg. and 1 pos. coming off of a sub.

then you still should be able to infer how to do it. the lowest strapped impedance is 2 ohm. so wire the subs to a 2 ohm load and wire it to the amp.

Ok I want to wire a sub to each amp but I do not want to have to gain match both amps, I only want to set the gains on one amp. However, I do not want to strap them, is there a way that I can wire a sub to each amp and still be able to only have to set one amp without strapping them. If there is a way for me to do this can you tell me how? Also I just got my amp replaced so I am wondering how much more power should I see running 2 of these at 1 ohm a piece compared to 1 at .5 ohm?
