allright so ive finally got some money to get a new amp but i cant decide. the ones that i am looking at right now are the elevation audio dx2000.1 on here or a massive audio p3000.1 with about 3 hours of playtime on it for about the same price. what would you do and why?

Keep in mind the Massive P3000.1 is only 2 ohm stable, so if you're gonna need 1 ohm it wouldn't be the right choice.

Neither. Bad experiences with both and many others share the same sentiment.

If you're looking for good clean power for cheap, try and see what you can find on ebay for a Hifonics or Autotek.

the ohm load dosent bother me because i dont have subs yet and ive been checking ebay for about the last month now and i cant seem to find anything. what kind of problems have you had with the massive? ive heard there a little over rated but i'd be happy if it did 2500rms. and i need to stay under $400

Bill and I always differ on opinion with the Massive stuff... I don't know what problems he's encountered, but I can speak from personal experience as a Massive dealer in saying "I have never seen a Massive amp come back with problems, and you'll get 2680 watts RMS @ 2 ohm @ 12.5V"
Another you may want to look at that Bill and I do agree on is the Crunch GroundPounder Amps.

nobody who's tested them and even the one i tested couldnt even get to 2000 watts and we couldnt get it to run at a load low enough to actually get the impedance rise to a 2 ohm load.

is there anywhere i can look at actual test results on the massive? because everywhere ive read about them some people say they will do 2680rms and others say they wont come close to that. i would really like to get an autotek mm4000.1 but i havent came across one in my price range.

You wont the msrp on the MM4000.1 was 1900 dollars. and its a true sql amp with distortion levels far below most other class d's. and by far my favorite amp ever. i have seen some on ebay as refurbish for 500.

Well as for the Massive, they are CEA rated for power, but I do agree with Bill on the MM4000.1... that is an awesome amp and if you are lucky enough to find a used good quality or refurb... I'd snatch that in a heartbeat.
