Tis the season for computers I guess.

My Uncle just stopped up. He said hes tired of his computer (my old one!) and is looking to buy another in the $500-600 range.

So far its between these few:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 6700050006

http://www.officemax.com/max/solutions/ ... 1611553615

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... id=5533609

Im leaning towards the Acer/Best buy one or the E machines/Wal Mart.

Probably more towards the Acer since it provides a better integrated video card ;)

Thoughts?

So can you still play games in OpenGL or does that OpenGL support have to be in the OS to make it work? Or do you mean for the Windows GUI, they went strictly OGL?

no openGL support means if you play a game that's made for openGL, like say, UT2004, you'll take a 25% hit to performance right off the bat. Maybe more.
