Well, I apologize for jumping the offensive, it's just that I've made many threads in other forums, and when I mention the speakers I'm using, I get tons of suggestions as to what would be better, and then the thread changes direction. And thanks for the suggestion.solacedagony wrote:Relax man, your speakers are your choice. But when you're asking for help from everyone, it helps if we have the information on what you're working with.
Also, Tang Band makes 6.5 and 6x9 mid/subwoofers. Might screw right in without any modifications in the rear.

I know this was not directed at me but i have an opinion on this if you want to hear it. but if you dont want to hear it i suggest you stop reading now. lolCaptainPioneer wrote:hey Bill not to jack this thread but, Do you know of any ways to subtly put mid bass drivers in a car without really cutting into the dash or Rear deck? I know i could do pods but i dont think that it would be wise to do pods in the front for midbass unless u think otherwise
a few years ago i started to build my truck into an sq truck since i could not have lots of subs. up front i build a small fiber glass pod right to the sides of my kicks. I directed them at an angle that was slight off center so that it did not mess to much with my highs. I was VERY happy after doing this. i had a very hard time locating them them with my eyes closed in the truck. meaning that the sounds seemed to come from everywhere not a direct point which is what you want out of a mid bass and or sub. i felt that i really rounded every thing out by doing this.

then in that case its a killer idea. when that kick drum punches its really going to have a great effect.CaptainPioneer wrote:Actually it would just be the mids in a kick... no Comps im keeping the stock Speakers till they blow or piss me off too much lol
they are jbl's so they cant be too bad... I have to admit... Toyota finally started using better speakers in their vehicles
BTW many MFG's make a 7 inch driver. I really like these. you would not be sorry.
