I think a pair of funkypup 12's with a legacy 4000w amp will suffice.

sorry, just had to bring back the smart ass out of me.

yeah im not going to go with legacy...my friend just blew his. and never was impressed with them before. i think i am going to go with a 12" type R, and try to find a good amp to power it.

Was looking at amps on woofersetc.com for the type R, first check out the specs on this. Twin turbo amplifier!!! lmao http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fus ... ct_ID=4208
Anyway, if your ordering the sub from them might as well get the amp there also. Here are a few that would put out the 500 needed to match the type R...

Theres a couple, I personally wouldn't use either, but that would keep you within the $500 and leave you some for wiring.

Hay Joey, I think you posted the wrong link for the twin turbo.

The alpine amp isn't to bad. I would look into Kicker and JBL to. The both offer decent equipment for a good price.

First off, nice car, there is a kind of goldish orange one running around my city, although I think he has riced it out. Second for the money you are going with, I have heard, like as in actually with my own ears, kicker and alpine. I know you are looking for bump, but not too much, and for a single I would probably try and go with an Alpine type-R like others are saying. For double, I know Alpine is still doing their double Type-E 10s and a 300watt amp I think for 300. All you would have to do is find a certified Alpine dealer and get it there, but of couse it doesn't come with a box or anything, or wires. But you do get the subs and amp for 300 which will leave you about 200 for extras. I know Type-Es are the entry level, but for entry they thump pretty good.
