alright....then i guess its back to sealed.

does anyone recommend putting pillow stuffing inside of the sealed box.

some say it helps the standing sound wave and some say it really doesnt do anything?

suggestions?

By stuffing the box, it "tricks" the box into thinking its larger than it is. Which can give you slightly better low end extension in a small sealed box.

and do you know about how much to put in?

General rule of thumb is "lightly stuff". Just put enough in there to fill the box up, without being packed down.

another option to stuffing your box is lining it with a hushmat foam deadener. It is not dampner, but instead absorbs noise into the foam and allows the musical aspect of the soundwaves through the subwoofer. Or something like that. That is what I have in my sealed box and man that sub sounds good.

okay i guess ill fill it, but wont this affect the internal volume of the sub a great deal?

and do i have to compensate this with the size of the box?

will it damage the sub if i build to factory specs but then add fill?

No damage will occur to the driver if you add fill.

Yeah one pound of fill per cubic ft of box space will only increas the box specs by 10%. Thats not really that much, definatly not enough to hurt the average speaker.
