got my new RE SE10s installed they are 11" subs listed as 10" apparently i had to cut the mounting holes bigger in my box. but they do sound badass, BUT i have a strange issue, the bass increases dramatically when i pop my trunk?? no matter which way way i point my subs its the same result??

Move the box closer to the rear of the trunk with them pointing back. Your getting some cancelation

I was thinking it was sortof like turning it into a bigger enclosure. I had a buddy up in Louisville, who had a demo vehicle and when he would open the windows or open a door it would get a bit louder. I know that is not the correct way of explaining it but someone can correct me, if that is im sortof on track.

sealed box. and i didn't notice a difference when i opened the door, but i had already popped the trunk. all i had to do is pop the trunk(it only raises maybe 2 inches) and bass noticeably increases?

When the trunk is popped it easier for the sub to move = louder Simple as that not cancellation or anything else its normal in trunk car's.
However remember the car acts like a chamber so when you open a door or a window or the trunk you create a bandpass with the open area acting as a port. a ported box firing into a car with the door open is a sixth order bandpass.
