Chris from Washington wrote:? Why is it that whenever someone disagrees with anything Obama does, one of the first things his supporters bring up his the color of his skin?
I don't care about the color of his skin, I care about his policies. Which are very socialist in nature. I don't believe that forcefully taking from one person and giving to another 'for the greater good' is the path we should be going down. If you start giving people handouts, you take away the motivation to work hard, and earn what you have. Plus giving Government even more control of our lives is not what I want either.
I don't care for McCain, he's not a fiscal conservative which is what we really need. But we really just don't much choice again this election time.
The skin color referrence was because that is all the media seems to focus on when it comes to people who oppose Obama. It was not aimed directly at any given poster, but since the thread has the word "creepier" and Obama is in fact African American, it seemed to go hand in hand. My bad there. I retract that statement.
I do agree with you about the whole "Robinhood" mentality of the far left wing. That said, I don't think that is a reality that we can count on. I also do not think that is Obama's agenda either. He simply thinks that the top earners in the USA are not pulling their share. He intends on a more balanced tax base. In comparison to the Bush agenda, he looks far left. But if you dig deep, do you think it is fair for a $10M/yr CEO to pay a lower tax percentage than a blue color guy making $10/hr? I don't think so. Look at what Warren Buffet has said lately. He feels like he has not been asked to pay his fair share of taxes and he is a multi billionaire. He understands that those with plenty of extra should give some of that back in the form or reduced tax burden to middle class families. Read that again, not hand outs to non-working people, but tax relief for working middle class families.
Bwcad1 wrote:So your ok with obama removing weapons from the hands of hardworking law abiding citizens?
go back to russia. enjoy it your socialsm obama fag.
I am not a gun owner myself but I do not oppose law abiding citizens the right to own guns within some boundaries. I think that full auto weapons have no use in a home, just as grenades and RPGs are overboard.
I have a friend who owns quite a few guns and to be honest, he is not a very stable person and I worry daily that he might go postal. Should someone remove his right to his guns? I say no, but it is not an easy question.
I have never been to Russia and I am not a fag, not that there is anything wrong with that.
Chris from Washington wrote:I already stated I don't care for McCain, but overall I feel for our nation he is a better choice out of those 2 choices.
I don't agree with his mortgage buyout, I feel people need to be responsible for their actions. They have to sign for those loans, they know their monthly budget better then anyone.
If we have a democrats in control of all branches of government, I see some really bad policies being adopted. Biden is out there in the debates saying human are 100% responsible for global warming? Really 100% now?
So how long until we start getting federal mandates on emissions so strict they that basically ruin our economy.
I live in WA that is a pretty blue state, and we have all sorts of stupid social or 'feel good' programs that are just bankrupting this state. And once they are put into place, they are never shutdown.
Every election year, we see new laws trying to be passed that will raise taxes on fuel, trying to force everyone into mass transit.
We have laws saying that 1% state project budget need to go 'art' So we have money being spent putting up statues in prisons or paintings on walls that point towards the woods that people will never see.
We have the democrat mayor of Seattle shutting down public streets to cars each weekend last August to encourage 'walking'. yet gas taxes paid for those streets. They even went so far to tow away cars of the people who lived on that street.
Obama's position on gun bans, he is now saying he's against gun bans, but hasn't he voted for it every time? If something like this passes, law abiding citizens have 2 choices. Become a law breaker and keep their guns to protect their families, or turn their guns in and hope the criminals that can care less about gun control don't try and break into their homes.
I totally disagree with Obama's stance on wealth in this country, and that the governments roll is to basically spread the money around. With his plans, he proposes tax credits for people who don't even pay taxes in the first place. So you have people getting a check back from the government when they haven't paid any taxes, so what is their motivations to work harder and get a better paying job, or even get a job in the first place.
We can go back and forth all day of what we don't like about each other's candidates. But you're not going to change my mind, and I'm not going to change yours. Just stop trying to bring the color of his skin into the discussion, it has nothing to do with my choice and it shouldn't have anything do with your choice.
I pretty much echo most of your points. I just realy could care less personally about the gun issues. I would oppose a general ban however.
Bwcad1 wrote:i agree. do you know that current federal gun laws state that anyone convicted of a violent crime cannot legal purchase a gun? For instance TI a well known rapper is spending 1 year in jail 1 year on house arrest and 1500 hours of community service for trying to purchase a gun when he is a convicted felon?
obama flat out wants to ban all semi automatic guns. period.

I have seen that he would like to renew the ban on assault rifles, but I have never seen him quoted as saying all semi-auto weapons. You can read his official message HERE

FWIW I will be editing my previous posts to reflect my apologies.

this is from your first post on this board....sounds like you are more than employed there.
While I don't really want to pick a fight or anything, but you pretty much have called me a loser in this thread. Since I don't know you, and you certainly don't know me, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are a good guy who knows little about me or my company and were just making empty comments.

my posts here are mine and are not representative of Kinetik.

your very first post here you identified yourself by using "me or my" when referring to kinetic...therefore everything you say is a reflection of YOUR company. most people will base the decision on who they do business with on their experiences with the people who represent that company. i am one of those types of people.

obama is also against it being legal for gun owners to use them defensively..

Plus.. if Mccain is jesus christ our saviour, maverick, and war hero.. why are so many waking up and abandoning him. Hell, the editor of the National Review endorsed Obama (and then lost his job)..

Yes I know that. I was giving examples of the types of things I feel should be restricted, not that they are not already restricted. My point is I have no issue with people having reasonable guns in their homes. Where I draw the line is full auto. If we are to ban all semi-auto, that is a broad range of weapons that would be over-reaching IMHO. Someone here mentioned that Obama is trying to ban semi-auto weapons, but I have not seen a source that backs that up.

I am not saying that I don't work there, I am saying that my posts here are my views and not that of the company. I don't own the company, I am just an employee that has been there for some time. I just wanted to clear that up since I did previously say that I was employed there.

Since this is not a professional work setting, you are getting unfiltered post from me personally. If I wanted to post professional company oriented messages, I would never have come to this thread.

Did you read what i posted? in either? Automatic weapons are already banned! no one in the us can own them without a class III FFL can own them.

More supportive Facts

http://www.ontheissues.org/domestic/Bar ... ontrol.htm

specificly speaks on the SEMI-AUTO Ban. which includes most pistols common hunting rifles and shotguns.
