.mike brings up a very good point. the area im in is growing pretty rapidly and there are a lot of transplants from both coasts here and i have offered to dynamat a few cars for guys and apparantly on either coast rattles are a way of showing off. i think ua's cars are classier than that though. i really think at a decent volume any rattle is going to be minimal or nonexistant. he had that stereoi up pretty loud

J-Sings Charger
Hey guys,
Man things are crazy over here, getting ready for the expansion to Mia and all. And on top of that my friend passed away from CYSTIC FIBROSIS yesterday morning and i'm leaving Unique early today to attend a funeral. My friend was only 23, shit is all messed up.
On another note: When we build systems, keep in mind that yes, we have to use certain products do satisfy sponsorship contracts. We are a business so budgets do exist with customers. Not all of them come in with the budget you think they do, even your favorite celebrities are feeling it these days with the economy. In J-Sings case, he just wanted a nice system with some knock that was unique in appearance, some new interior, and some dope rims.
Many of our clients live a different lifestyle than we all do, including myself (i'm damn near poor, lol), so what may seem right or suitable to us, is not to them because of that "rockstar" mentality, you know. So a little trunk rattle is appreciated in their point if view when they hear their systems cranked up.
We actually do dampen vehicles, but it depends on the personal taste of the customer. For example, Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs requested that dampen his doors, trunk, etc, in his Maybach and we did with no problem.
Again, our creations stem from customer request (like the Gucci interior), and we all know that in this day in age, keeping the customer happy is what keeps us all in business, you know.

BINGOOOOOO !!cargodz wrote:Well as many of you know... I gotts no sound card so I could tell ya if there was rattle or not, but the overall aesthetics were nice... And you also have to realize that some people actually want trunk rattle... I've actually done some installs in the past where people think the more the car rattles the more impressive the system must be (yeah I know, stupid), but ya give'm what they want.

Do you ever do any engine work to cars or do u generally send out for that... I remember an exhaust once being installed but I think out of house did that... BTW... I saw an episode where you had some custom airbrushing done on a fiberglass box... Any chance of reusing those guys again? They seem to have some skills in that department

First let me say...
Troy, my sympathy goes out to you and the family of your friend that just passed, it's very hard to deal with losing someone so young
. My prayers go with all of you.
As for systems... You'd be amazed at how cheap some people will go just to have the look, but dump all kinds of other money into their ride.
There's a guy here in town with a 69 Nova with a supercharged 383 stroker, nitrous, candy red and airbrushed ($10,000) paint job, lambo doors, restyled interior... And you know what he went with for subs?.............. Volfenhag... OMG! Why, because he like the color, cause it matched his car WTF?!.
Anyway I talked to him last week and this winter we may finally be doing a proper system in his car this time around cuz although he likes the look of the present subs he's not at all happy with the sound.

yeah sorry about the loss of your friend. My condolensces.
Mike, I agree with you. A buddy of mine that I build boxes for and some installation, is like that. He will say, I won't settle for less than what I want, but, then he will be somewhere, and see a set of subs that are 800 watts peak and buy those instead. Because it may cost less than what he really wants, and he has the money in his pocket, he will buy some cheapo set of subs that last only a couple months. ohh well.

Car Show Pics
Hey guys,
Thx for the wishes.
And to answer the question above, no, we don't normally do performance, but in the past we have done some work in house, and have also sent it out as well.
Here's some pics from the car show.
