I believe this is the thread linked to in the FAQ for changes additions to the sorting part.

Just because something is in the highly recommended part doesn't mean it is better than the stuff in the good; it just means that you will have a semi-proven reliable speaker set that isn't junky sounding.

There are tons missing on the list. Just need people to fill it in. (and another person or two to verify -to get more of a nonbiased opinion)

I hear ya will, I won't say I'm not biased, but I wouldn't say I am either...I don't own a set of TREO...well anything for that matter.

Kiki, I revived it because this is the thread for corrections/additions to the list! :) I sold my truck before I got around to doing that blow-thru. Ended up buying a 90 Supra. Had it for almost a year and when the thermostat failed during a highway pull and I failed to notice the temp gauge spiking (I know, I know--I feel retarded), it blew up lol. For now I'm rollin an 05 Scion tC, around feb-april I'm going to be picking up a G35, and then the audio madness shall ensue!! How's the charger coming along?

Not sure if this list still gets updated or not, BUT I'd like to know where Monster Cable sits. I recently purchased a 6 channel 306xln interconnect from monster, and it seems nice but I haven't installed it yet. Let me know - Thanks.

Yeah the list still exists (although it's been some time since it's been updated... Might be something we want to think about after all the 08 gear comes out)... IMO though, I would have to place Monster as "Good", but wouldn't recommend only because most of the stuff is to high priced for what it is.

So if you ignore the price, a monster interconnect - the higher grade like 300 line or 400 line, have to be about as good as anything else. What do you think?

Yeah, that's why I rated as "Good" and not "Recommended" only because of the price

I agree. Monster is priced much higher than it's really worth.

crunch and hifonics amps need to be moved. and tsunami and schoshe batteries need to be moved to reccomended. and ill add more to this post as i see it. JVC needs to be take off the highly reccomended list in my opinon as ive had to replace like 3 in the past 2 weeks. and sony should move up. elevation should be dropped to a lower level in amps. Elevation audio should be dropped on the sub list along with earthquake. hifonics subs should be moved up as should fi car audio. planet audio crunch and autotek subs should be moved up to good. kicker wire should be moved up raptor should be moved down. excessive amperage should be moved up as well as ohio generator. thats my feelings.

i would def move elevations subs to the bottom of the barrel. as for planet audio i would put in the recomended portion. at least for everything but the zetar series, the zetars are good, but they are an entryl level sub but at a retail of under 70 buckks they are a great buy, comparable to a kicker comp. plus planets 08 lineup looks even better the zetars are being replaced by the torq series. and they now offer 2 levels of big bang subs..

one thing i would like to see added to the recomended list that i have been selling 2-4 a week of with no problems is valor multimedia head units...very nice, loaded with features and use clarion screens.....oh and they dont cost a fortune, entry price for a 7" flipout is under 400 and yes its a touchscreen at that price
