Actually dynamat sells a sheet of lead with a layer of closed cell foam on both sides of it. Its about 300 bucks for a 3/5 sheet of it. Thats were I got the idea for what I did in the S10.solacedagony wrote:Maybe they sell lead that is sealed with something? The lead would also be under the carpet, so you wouldn't be physically touching it or eating things that were touching it :)

Yea the lead seemed questionable but if dynamat is doing it then I guess there is a right way to use it.

I was prepping the front doors today so I had my door panels off. While doing this I decided to hose off the outside of my car because I was getting tired of looking at loads of bird crap on it. After I finished, I open the doors to resume work and find that water is getting into my doors. Not insane, but there small puddles of water and splashes inside my door. Is this normal?
While it is not abnormal to get water in your doors, as there is a little hole at the bottom of all doors to let the water out... there should not be huge puddles in there, cuz it should run out nearly as fast as it comes in... so check the bottom of the door and make sure that lil hole is not plugged with gunk.
