Thanks, got another row done tonight.


Ya the grid lights are getting hard to find in good shape.
But, if you find some that are just scratched a little. Take some wet/dry 1000-2000 grit paper and sand them out. Then buff it out with that plastic X stuff. It really turns out good.

I did the reverse lights on the one pictured. Before I started, they were yellowish, and didn't look good at all. now they are shiny and and clear, look really nice now.

I had to do some searching to find this, but I remember one similar over on TGO. The guy actually drilled holes into his lenses and inserted the LEDs, looks awesome.

Ya I remember that thread, but I wouldn't go about it that way.

The big reason would be because of moisture, with all those holes drilled into the lens, and the LEDs themselves being exposed to moisture. You're just setting yourself up for a failure. Plus as time goes on, those LEDs would start to discolor and not look to good being exposed to the elements.

Well a little update.

Got the first brake light section done. I need to trim the board some more, to get it to align with the lens better. You can tell in the tail light mode, that they aren't lined up very well. So some seem darker then others

I think next I'll do the turn signal.
Then start on the wrap around section of the tail light.
