I personally think the Pheonix Gold Xenon series amps were pretty good amps. The octane sereis or whatever seems to not be that great... but the RSD lines were supposed to be good, but very expensive. I would take Hifonics over Lanzar any day. The big difference is build quality. Lanzar's are known to not be made very well. Some people do like the opti-drive series lanzars though.

hifonics ax 4000D um im sponsored by maxxsonics/hifonics and have never heard of this amp.
i just did some looking thats an older amp thats not produced anymore i dont know y your mag has that amp in it. and if its telling you lanzar is better than hifonics its full of shit.

oh just saw this....last question..: which hifonics amp? the b1206d or the b1205d?

i would go with the 1206d. It is the newer of the two models.
