Do these work by these "Dual Zone Shock Sensors"? If the car is moved around, the alarm is set off?
Is the alarm armed and disarmed by using the remotes? Woudl it know if someone broke the glass or something?

I've had a 2 way paging alarm for almost two years (and live in a bad neighbourhood). Thieves have been in/tried to steal my car a number of times prior to the alarm install. I've had the warn-away triggered a bunch of times and the alarm triggered a few as well since then. Alarms haven't really got in the way of the local smash & grab artists here- there are enough car alarms on the street that there is usually one or two going off on any given night.

Mine is kind of obvious that it's a pager alarm for a couple of reasons- I'm down at the car in a minute or so checking for tampering when it's been triggered, plus it has the "knock here to page owner" LED in the corner of the windshield...a clue to would-be thieves that someone nearby might care if they set the alarm off.

I recently got back from a trip to find two neighbours' cars had been broken into and was surprised that mine hadn't even been triggered while I was away. Keeping the main attractions in your system out of sight goes a long way, I guess. Add to that, for 2-way systems it's not just a siren that goes ignored in the neighbourhood, but one that can provoke a speedy response by the car's owner as well (distinguishable from sound-alikes by your keychain beeping/vibrating an alert).

A good 2 way alarm might not scare off the opportunist looking to break a window and grab loose valuables, but it lets those looking to take their time exploring the inside of your car know that the clock is ticking.

On another Scytek alarm, it includes a "Dual-Zone Dual Adjust Piezo Sensor". What is that? That alarm is 180$ but includes the starter kill and all that good stuff as well.

I think that was the main thing that I was hoping for was letting ME know that my car was being tampered with. Right now, someone could break in it and I wouldn't even know until I got up in the morning and went out and saw it. With the alarm, everyone else in the neighborhood will know, SPECIFICALLY me.

While I can't speak for that brand, a dual-zone adjustable shock sensor typically can be user adjusted (by a set screw or knob) to trigger a "warn-away" chirp with a light hit to the vehicle and full siren for a harder hit simulating an entry to the vehicle.

Most alarms I've seen in recent history have that sort of feature. Most curious thieves are willing to give your car a cursory tap to see if it's really armed with an alarm, or simply has a fake LED or flashing LED from an installed immobilizer (that doesn't make noise if they enter the vehicle). When your car chirps a warn-away, they are free to look elsewhere in the neighbourhood for easier targets without waking up the whole street.

I don't carry that one mine go from the Astra 777 to the starters with alarm up to the VG8000 with starter and interior camera.

That said...the 2 way alarm will only let you know via keychain while you are within range, so range is important (and varies from brand to brand).
