i worked on a few 06 jeep grand cheerokes. they use one neg wire, as their 2nd starter, and acc. starter is -150ohm, acc is -570ohm.

i acctually like working on the jeeps, the dash panel just pops off, and everything is right there. tons of freaking space to put the starter too.

i have yet to work on the new GMs. i guess they dont have a starter wire, just when the ign sees + and the acc doesnt, it starts.

When I do install them I offer Omega, Skytek, or Metra Razor... I still think they are a pain though IMO. When I get the new shop it'll all probably change though and we'll offer them alot more, but then I'll probably have a kid trained and installing them

As long as its a standard 12 volt battery then no. The extra CCAs aren't going to hurt.

for the standard shift the best option available to me would be the omega max e.........its a full alarm with remote start that is standard shift compatable......the only real difference aside from having to bypass the clutch safety switch is the way the remote start funcions....you have to stop the car, put it in neutral, set the brake, hit the remote start function which leaves teh vehicle running while you get out, then arm the alarm and the vehicle shuts down, it now knows that it is in neutral with the brake set and is safe to remote start next time.......



anyway for those i get around 300 installed with no immobilizer....

but its not just remote start...its a full blown alarm with remote start and keyless entry......its really a pretty good deal......

I won't do a manual... automatics only, to many risks of stupid people.

check out the omega max e ............there is no risk at all.....you just have to get a remote start that is designed to work with a manual.....like i said, if it is manual transmission compatible it wont remote start unless you set it up to last time you got out by 1. putting it in neutral 2. setting the parking brake 3. pressing the correct button on the remote 4. getting out at which time the vehicle is still running quite safely while you have your keys in your hand 5. arming the system which shuts down the vehicle



now you can remote start next time you want to because the system is aware that all safety checks are in place........and as a further safety check, if anyone triggers the alarm while the vehicle is unattended, it wont remote start next time..........

oooh well yea i guess thats completely worth it... I am just saying that i would rather just have remote start and thats it on my truck how much would that run?

i have them starting at 99.00 installed
