What kind of Distribution Block did you use? Like what brand. Also u have only one wire being grounded to one point right? I

did you check the fuse and distrobution block and make sure all the connections are good?
If you split off the remote wire then u know thats good. And if your runing a distro block from the power to the amps you know the powers good if the other powered up ok without the block as long as all the connections and fuse is good on the distro.
The only other thing your really looking at is your ground if all that checks out. Just make sure to run the grounds to the same spot on the chassis or some kind of grounding block

vw rivets their speakers in...if you knock out the center of the rivet with a punch and then drill the rivet they come right out....

my guess on the dist. block is that you are looking at your wires wrong or have misplaced the one that goes to the battery and that the power is backfeeding through the fuse to the main block

scosche makes adaptors to mount speakers in those type of doors if extra clearance is needed....its basically just a spacer....i prefer to make my own but i dont know if you have the tools to do that....

if it is the stock head unit it takes special keys to get it out.....there should be a small plastic panel above the head unit that pops out and then the keys insert into either 2 or 4 depending on whether you have double or single din unit in the dash and you pull out on the keys when they lock in and voila....you have removed your head unit.....

I have one wire from each amp being grounded to 1 point.

Do we have to put a fuse on the distribution block? They gave us some fuses but I don't really know what to do with them. That's probably it then. I thought we only needed a fuse at the battery.

And I have a KnuKonceptz distribution block.

stop......seriously.....i mean no offense and i am one to strongly encourage doing things yourself even though i get paid to do this type of stuff for people but, i would hate to see something bad happen to either the car or the equipment.......i really dont mean to pick on you but if you dont know what to do with a fuse, take it to a professional and i dont mean circuit city or best buy.........they can get it done but they will probably look at what you have going on and finish it the easiest way possible whereas a specialty shop will take the time to fix anything that needs it....once again i can appreciate your interest in doing it yourself but please read up first

I'm not talking about the inline fuse at the battery. I'm talking about the fuse at the distribution block. I have no idea what to do with this. KnuKonceptz gave us like 2 of them, but we don't know where to put them.. or how to install them. We already have a fuse installed at the battery.

I've got everything else finsihed except removing the head unit and plugging the RCAs in and then we're tryign to get this distribution block to work. I asked before I installed, and I didn't really get anything about a fuse at a distribution block.

ya if the distrobution block u bought was the fused one neither amp will work without the fuses. the fuses complete the circuit. You'll have to take the plastic piece off the top and install the fuse. depending on the fuse it takes either you will just place the fuse between the clamps, or if its like an anl fuse you may have to loosen the compression fittings to fit it in. Let us know how it turns out

Yup. Got everything to work. He's goign to take it to the shop to get a custom speaker installation now. Thanks guys.
