a single CVR 12" on the kx600.1 should be plenty in that truck. something is very wrong here. I heard a single JL 12W6 in a utility truck the other day and it sounded great. Your setup isn't very different.
I'm thinking you should change the enclosure, and make sure the amp is getting good current to power the amplifier properly.

I have a friend who had 2 JL W610's in his sierra reg. cab. He sold them and now baught three of the Aniversery(spelling?) addition to put in there, says he is gonna run all three of em, im interested to see that. Yes the other was insainly loud. I would think one cvr would be plenty. One is alot in a guy's 83 el camino at school, thing gets crazy loud.

The thing KiKi is that the sub has lots of excursion but hardly any Bass. I have tried anything and everything to get that thing to produce a good level of kick without blowing it. I have to turn the amp down so low that I should have a smaller amp because it just isn't worth it. I have heard Kicker subs produce but this setup is pathetic, it's either listen with the volume down along with everything else as in gain and boost or listen to the thing slap. I had a couple of MTX 12" sub's that right out of the box nearly blew my ear drums in my F-150. They were run by an old second hand pioneer amp that I bought for $100 and didn't even think would work. I would play those subs for hours so loud I woud get a severe headache and crank them at bush parties until we were to drunk to drive. They would shake my back window so much you couldn't put your knuckles on it without beating them like hell. This kicker sub makes me so frustrated and I get even more irritated when the guy keeps saying gee it sure sounded great when it left the shop, yuk yuk. If I want to hear crap subs I would have used my blown 12's because they sound better than this. Grrrr... could I have some cheese with my wine because I've been whining about this forever. I just want a sub that will shake my vision like the good old days.
