The gain is almost all the way up the bass is all the way up and crossover i messed with didn't matter where it was. And yes the wiring is exactly that way maybe i misleading you they do work just very faint.

I'm still thinking the system is cutting off the low frequencies. I would do what Jeremy said, and get a test tone CD and use a multimeter.
If you don't have that, do you have anything else that you could use for a source for your amp for a test?

If you have a portal stereo, that you can plug the RCA's into from the amp. If you all of a sudden have bass, then you know that your lows are getting cutoff.

If you still don't hear anything, then it's something else.

Yes I took another speaker connected it to a line converter with rca's and same thing it played but not to the capacity it should have

Ok first off, turn the gain down. Gain is not a volume knob, its used to set the input stage of the amp to the output stage of your head unit.

Turn the Bass OFF, and set the x-over around 80 LPF.

Now see how it sounds.

If you don't hear it, disconect the subs at the amp, and touch the leads to a 9 volt battery. Make sure they both move the same way.
If both subs move the same way, leave them disconected, and put in a 40 hz test tone. Start with the volume ALL THE WAY DOWN, and slowly turn it up. If you hear any speakers playing the tone, check the amps output with a DMM. You can turn it up a little to take a second reading, but if you hear any speakers popping or distorting turn it back down.

I have a feeling your amp or one of your subs is dead. That would explain all your problems.

I have a 460 mach system with an aftermarket head unit with only 1 set of outputs. the stock system needs an output to run the oem amp so i installed a y dapter to tun an aftermarket amp to power 2 subs. My problem is the subs aren't getting the output I know the can produce, any help?

He said aftermarket head unit with single pre out. Probably a front pre out...not sub.

If he only has the 1 pre out...everything said here is pointless. You need more pre outs

Yes that's a single pre out with a low pass. It will NOT work. You need a new deck period!

Get one with at least 2 sets of pre outs and one of them being specifically for a sub out.

I would get a Kenwood Excelon. Great pre outs for the price.

Don't do anything until you get a new deck. You'll spend butt loads of money doing that other stuff, when you could have just got a better deck and been done.
