That was the original plan, but the stuff I really wanted wasn't going to be available for like 6 weeks.
Ryan has some kick @ss prices and customer service, but he can't speed up a slow boat.
I am certain I will get my money back. If not, I guess I still paid less for the amp then retail, probably less than more store front dealers...
Either way, I still won't order from online car stereo again.

Hopefully your hifonics amp works when (IF) you get it.
A lot of these places disassemble the amps to yank serial numbers out, because they aren't supposed to be selling them, and they don't want the manufacturer to know where they are getting them (because that would dry up the supply for them)...
So hopefully they didn't mess it up when the reassembled it, and hopefully it doesn't break because Hifonics sure as shit won't fix it for you. And if you had this much trouble placing an order with onlinecarstereo - imagine how much trouble you'd have getting them to replace a faulty amp.
This is why they can sell the amps so cheap, the don't have to ever deal with you again once you buy it. You could be stuck with an expensive door weight.
Call it an expensive lesson. You ignored the signs, there are tons of threads all over forums about this type of shit happening to people. If you would have googled "onlinecarstereo" you'd have found tons of reviews where the same thing happened to a bunch of other people.
If I were you, I'd try to cancel the entire order - but to be honest it could take a long time for you to get your money back if you did that.
You might want to consider calling them instead of emailing as well.
Good luck

This what they charged.
$1 DDA PREAUTH ONLINE CAR STEREO
$209 PREAUTH ONLINE CAR STEREO
$1 DDA PREAUTH RSA SECURTITY INC.
$172 DDA PURCHASE ONLINE CAR STEREO
I talked to my aunt who works at my bank and she said that the PREAUTH will be returned, usually within 24 hours.
At this point I'm so confused.
I'm going to run down to my bank and check my account bounce to see if they credited my account, then sign up for online banking!

UPDATE:
They took the $209 charge off.
There is two charges of $172 from them now. I talked to the lady who's in charge of the debt cards, she said some online stores charge a preauth free and that I should get my money back from that.
She said if it's not back by tomorrow to come in and we would dispute it and get it back that way.
I also set up an online backing so I can start keeping better track of this crap...
And the UPS man just rolled up, lets see what he brought... brb!

I must say I'm extremely happy with Crutchfield. The head unit came in this morning (extremely fast) and was packaged extremely well. It's just to bad they don't carry more of the brands I want.
Pictures;
What's this Maddie?
I don't know, let me just check for you!
That pretty.
Hopefully my amp shows up in good working condition and the refund the preauth...
Now I just have to order some speakers! I'm trying to figure that out now!!!!

Just a little FYI for all you folks, if you are ever going to buy ANYTHING online, you should always use a true credit card, NOT a debit card. Why? Because websites will do preauths to verify that you have enough money. If they do it wrong, they can appear to double charge you.
Basically, when they do the preauth, they are reserving your money for when they ship your stuff. Normally, the preauth is good for 7 days. If they ship your full order, then they will simply capture the funds at that point using the preauth code. At that point, the money is actually transfered to them. Up to that point, your bank is just holding it for them.
Now, if they don't use the preauth code to capture the funds, or if they change the amount of the charge, you will still have that preauth sitting there in addition to the new charge, since they didn't capture the preauth.
If you have a debit card, this means all of that money is held out of your checing account until it clears. If you have a true credit card, none of this would matter, since it would all likely settle before you received your statement.

Wow. That was a fast shipment.
That's a great looking deck. Nice sized remote too.

Yeah a real nice looking deck. C-field is pretty good to deal with. I have dealt with them for probably 10-15 years and never had a problem.
