i as well have had good dealings with him. like i stated above this does not seem like cargodz. Hopefully he soon shows up to give us the story, maybe he can defend himself on the trailblazer site as well.

In that thread, the OP said Aukland (Tommy) stepped in and finished the job. Is that the same Aukland that is on this forum?

He probably did, but I'm still saying when he pulled it apart he should of realized it was a mess and consulted with the customer.

At that point I'd think you'd focus on fixing one eff up at a time, and wouldnt through in the towel until that one section is finished. Then you could say, the whole things not fixed, but the headunit is now working, and the front speakers.

I didnt see the vehicle and maybe the kid is just straight up lying, but I'm assuming Mike and Tommy are friends, and Tommy visits the boards, so I'm assuming if the kid was lying Tommy would of said something because he was posting in that thread.

I wear my rose colored glasses for nobody, and I will call it as I see it. If it turns out I'm wrong, then I will admit it and say my sorry's.

Ok, I havent talked to Car Godz Mike yet but this is what I know.

Mike with a Trailblazer approached Mike (will be called CarGodz from here on out) for some equipment suggestions and an install. CarGodz sold Mike the equipment for about $500 and an install for $160.

If anyone looks at a Trailblazer or has worked on one, they are not the easiest vehicle to work with. With that being said the install should of run closer to $500 as its MEGA labor intensive.

Mikes trailblazer was already worked on by another person, whom as I understand it did a fairly piss poor hack job. CarGodz had to deal with said hack job and figure shit out, so naturally it took even LONGER. CarGodz obviously couldnt tell how bad of a hack job this guys Traiblazer was until he got into it.

Now this might be where CarGodz took a wrong turn. When he got things opened up and seen how bad it was, he should of asked for more $$$ as it was going to take more time and advised Mike with TB as such.

From what Ive gathered CarGodz had Tommy (Aukland) over to help wire the doors- so he did call for some backup. But Tommy did what he did and had to go. CarGodz continued on. At which point it was obvious things werent getting done as quick as he thought. Called it quits for the night.

Mike came back over some time later with the Trailblazer. Cargodz worked more on it, but for whatever reason or occasion had to call it quits again (this is where things get weird). Evidently CarGodz told Mike his session was over, asked for payment and the guy had to pack it up and leave as CarGodz and wife were going out somewhere nice to eat.

From where I sit:

Mikes Trailblazer was pretty well hacked into when it come to CarGodz

CarGodz bite off a little more than he could handle in the time frame he stated- this happens...

Second time around CarGodz made a comment that probably wasnt taken right by Mike with TB and Im going to assume theres a real reason behind it (going out to eat, etc).

Mike with Trailblazer paid for an install that wasnt finished. Thats an absolute no-no in my book. You NEVER pay for a job not done! Sorry CarGodz but you shouldnt ever request payment for work not completed either.

Sounds like to me both parties have some blame to accept with nobody being 100% innocent.

We all know CarGodz here and Im fairly certain we all like him. He is a friend of mine and I know theres no way in hell he meant this customer ill will or set out to screw him over. It sounds to me like it was an overwhelming job. It doesnt excuse CarGodz from any wrong, but it does put it into perspective for us all.

Hopefully this insight will help keep others from jumping to conclusions and getting feelings hurt. I know this post will ruffle some feathers. But its for the good of everyone involved and especially good for our board. We dont need a fight here and shit slinging like Mike with Trailblazer did on Trailvoy wont be tolerated here. If theres a problem, state the problem. Dont fling mud.

Great post ryan infact i feel the exact same way it seems like both parties have some semblance of fault in this issue. This could happen to anyone and ive had similar issues in the past with bad customers its all part of the business.

first, you dont know he didnt consult with the customer about it taking longer

second, you dont know how youd have handled the car because you werent there

thirdly, no ones asking you to wear rose colored glasses but your calling it as you see it with one eye closed..

and the going out to eat was a dinner party becasue it was his wifes birthday and it was already arranged

AGREED!

Thats what I meant. They both got the raw end of the deal. Mike should of asked for more money and finished it up. I dont know if the customer knew if the truck was hacked like it was or not (sounds like he had somebody else do the prior work.

I wasnt trying to be an ass, I just wasnt going to excuse him from the situation before it was cleared up...

With that being said, its still not cleared up.
