with the right suspension work and wheel/tire combo a 5.0 ranger should have you deep in the 12's at least. i know a guy with a stock 5.0 hatch, nothing but exhaust, cobra intake and cold air who does 12.96 but its got a real nice suspension setup and he does it on drag radials.

It doesnt take alot of suspension work to get a high 12 second mustang to hook with slicks. I would think 4 cyl springs up front would be plenty..
That hatch must be stripped, and the guy must be a hell of a driver...
I know the 5.0 stangs have alot of potential. It doesnt cost a lot to build a mid 12 second stang.

not stripped at all, full interior and still has ac......we have been building our own sub fram connectors here at the shop out of 2x2 14 guage square tubing that are very stiff and have thought about selling them....
