Oh, no, the water is all gone in most of New Orleans except for the new levee breaks in the 9th ward, but that is far away from me and doesn't affect me.

No, not yet. We aren't really expecting anything soon. BUT!!! Just today, they are giving us money for my dad's truck (FINALLY!). ~$18k for my dad's 2000 Tundra SR5 Access Cab with 40k miles. That is more than the NADA value for it. We paid $22,900 in 2000 too. So how's that for Toyota's resale value :happy055:
Man, I now know what life is like without the internet. I feel... 'disconnected'.

Okay, here are some pictures for yall.

Most of them are about 1 meg in size. They were all taken yesterday late afternoon.
There are about 30 pictures. I didn't take many pictures past the dining room, so you don't really see the fridge and freezer laying on the ground in the kitchen or the back room which is basically a trash pile.

All I can say is wow.
Is the black stuff on the walls mold?

Yup. It's more of a dark green color though. It smells very strong in there, even with the dining room window busted out. We wore breathing masks, gloves, boots, and washed like you wouldn't believe when we got home. :)
It is really eerie there. No services at all and nobody around either. There is a lake-mud smell everywhere outside.

We've got most of our stuff out. Now it's just a matter of sifting through the flood damaged stuff. Here's two pics of the house currently and pics of my new studio!
