I've never seen this problem before, the weather thing on the homepage has always displayed for my area too.

my weather thing hasn't worked for ages. not sure exactly when it stopped but i just get the red 'X'.

it must not like your zipcode, I just tried it using your zip, and it stopped working for me too.

that's odd.
