$60 a month is crazy. Especially knowing that most of us make $60 a day or more at work...

Ive been mulling over what to send your way. I will get to the store this weekend and get something.

Im fairly confident most of the APOs goto New York. Most of us are Midwest and East Coast area anyhow, so shipping shouldnt be bad.

Rob, how many of these guys you talk to regularly? Maybe each willing person could "sponsor" an individual and send them stuff. Might be a little more work than need be, just a thought.

We have a Steve & Barry's here that sells stuff very cheap. Jeans are like $12, most shirts $6ish, shoes for like $12. SO we could potentially put together some outfits etc if we knew what sizes to get.

Anyways count me in. I will send a brick or two of bar soap, some socks, T Shirts, and ????

I never really stop and talk too much except the guys in front of the house area I live in. I don't like to stay on the street too long. There are no sidewalks, we have to walk on the street from the entry point to the camp to the entry point to my houseing area. And I found out today that the guys guarding the street and what not aren't even police. They're more like hired guards. So now I feel even less safe then I did before. lol. I have no idea what these guys make. Anyway, there are usually two or three at the camp gate, maybe four. there are usually two at the one road crossing and then another three or more at the gate into my house area. There are a lot more up and down the street at different points, but I'm not going to wonder around to talk to anybody. lol. Sometimes I run into them inside the house area. I'll try to talk to them more there. Some speak English better then others. There are two or three main languages (dialects) here. I don't speak any of them of course. Anyhow, There are three or four that I talk to more then the others due to the language barrier. Some of them live in the same housing area I live in. but they live in like big closets and stuff. They have these guys stuffed in some rediculous places, even worse then the porch I live on.

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know you can buy right from walmart.com and they will ship it to the APO.

So if anyone else is like me, and avoids any store during the holiday you can still send something.

Did anyone send anything yet? I don't want to send more of the same stuff if it'd be more beneficial to send something else. I was going to send shirts, socks and underwear. Should I send pants or something else instead?

So far I've gotten quite a few socks, t-shirts and knit hats. I've gotten several sweatshirts and gloves, about 20 bars of soap some chapstick and a few bags of cookies. lol. I took a load of stuff out this morning. Wow. They were like kids to candy. Seriously. The practially mauled each other to get to me. I need to be more discreate next time I go over there. I didn't expect them to react that way. But they were very grateful and most of them shook my hand.
