The owner and lead designer is Jerod Shelby and is no relation to Carroll Shelby and there is no affiliation between SSC and Shelby North America.

Actually kinda funny too when you think about it... Two different Shelbys running 2 different companies, both making really fast cars and one spends most of his life in affiliation with Ford, while the other uses a General Motors V8 to power his top speed breaking supercar... Kinda ironic ain't it.

Although Honda has just as much technology wrapped up in the Ecotec as GM under their joint engineering agreement, and the fact that GM holds some major stock in Honda don't hurt either... Kinda win/ win for the General :)

dude your so far off u don't even have the right car company. its Toyota not Honda. the Pontiac vibe is essentially a Toyota matrix.

and the atom is not offered in the usa with the civic engine only in Europe and some other countries.

Bill is right GM owns a portion of Toyota's stock, but from what i understand they have left Lexus out of that purchasing power and have it under separate tagging, so while GM owns a some Toyota, they cant touch Lexus.

BTW... I prefer the Matrix over the Vibe any day... Its actually considerably more comfortable and quicker.
