A pair of Kicker L7s and a ZX1500.1 is a decent enough set up, but there are still alot out there that can do about the same if not better, so this kinda comes down to the amount of space you want to use up in the back of that truck and what you're listening tastes are (myself and a few others on here still do not care for the sound quality of a square sub compared to round, but that's opinion)... And proper ported enclosure for a 12" L7 is going to eat up a ton of space in the back of that extended cab (roughly 4.5 cubes total per sub).
Now you have to keep in mind budget... How much are you planning on spending? And are you buying from ebay (online) or from an authorized dealer?
I ask these questions because as great as some deals are on ebay (and other sites) they are not authorized dealers (although they may say they are) and you will not get a factory warranty, so keep that in mind when buying (that's just my general warning I give to everybody, as I don't like seeing people get burnt if they do have to have repairs or replacements done) ;)

I had not even thought about not getting a factory warranty. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Do you have any suggestions for subs since it seems that some do not care for the square subs? And I was kinda hoping to keep the budget around $1,000 to about $1,500, but dont think of that when giving suggestions.

As for recommendations: since you are low on space in the extended cab (unless you wanna do a blowthrough) I would recommend something that would work well in either a sealed or smaller ported enclosure...
The ones that come to mind are:
Pair or Fi Q12 Dual 4ohm or 1- Q15 Dual 2 Ohm
Pair of Massive Audio CW12s
Pair of Interfire Pro-V12s
Pair of Fusion NVSW12s
Pair of RE SE12s

I'm sure there are more that would fit your application well, but that's just off the top of my head... also keep in mind that for the power output you're looking at (1000w+ RMS) you will be wanting to look into upgrading your stock electrical system as well to include but not limited to: Big 3 wiring upgrade, Upgraded alternator (at least a 160amp), and possibly an extra battery... so those all have to fit the budget too.

Ok, thank you for the suggestions. I searched and could not find out what a blowthrough is. Could you explain what it is.

A blowthrough is a cutout in the back of the cab and in the front of the bed with a rubberized gasket fitting around and in between the 2 that allows you to place your enclosure in the bed of the truck allowing for a larger box and saving on cab space... recommended to be done with a cap or hard bed cover and is done more with standard cabs due to lack of cab space...
Needless to say this option is not for everyone, as it does mean you have to cut large holes in your truck, but is a sure fire way to make a truck loud.

by the way in an update: I am the guy with the reg cab: I purchased the Alpine R type 6.5 components(to be run by the alpine MRV-F340), no rears, and an Alpine R type 12" DVC 4 OHM(to be run by the MRD-M500),and (running schosche wiring throughtout, with a big three upgrade.) I have yet to install everything, I am still designing a box, that aggrees with me, logically, and aesthetically, as well as I need to take everything out and dynomat first!!! Once installed I plan on posting some pics, and I will let you know about sound outcome!
