Sounds like a Tinsel lead slap but could be a misaligned Voice Coil...

Wel i just did a lil research and low and behold, i saw on Ecoustics that Fishy and Jonathan from our forum here have helped another wayward sole in the same predicament that i am in... Aparently I can have a shop fix this, or if i am feeling really skippy i can remove the dust cap and realign the vc myself... I prefer to not do that seeing as i have never done that anyway and dont really intend to start... Any seconds on this?

well you could always do it yourself and if you "mess up" still send it to the shop, and on insurance im not sure i mean the lady asked me the value and i told her $200, but im not sure how that works..

oh yea... thats true... I insured the Type R as well, but I definitely kept the original box and everything that you sent me. I have it all up at school, im just hoping no one at my house touched it... Probably not, they are all a lil scared of me any way lol hehehe

well as for now, i went to the Soundstream dealer and they are no help there... Dont know anything about their products... Anyway... so what i am doing right now just for my buddy so he can have a lil base is he is using my Old Audiobahn AWT610 in the 1.7cuft ported box. it actually sounds pretty damn good in there almost as nice as the Soundstream did... Doesnt have anywhere the excursion though

Oh well... It was a VC Misalignment thouh so hopefully It can be returned and a new one should come for me...
