well if they cant take it they will ruin it. there are multiple case on termpro where guys have bolted everything down very well using security screws so they just cut up the subs or smashed the amps with a hammer. ur best plan is to get a ryder from your insurance company.

darth what kinda gun is that? Sorry that im off topic here... Im getting a P220 Sig Saur 45acp when i turn 21 so i was just curious what that was?

BTW i have seen some seriously bad break-ins on cars... Most theifs if they cant take the whole sub box the just take a flat bar get it under the sub ring and pry it right out... they dont care if they bend or break it... as long as they get it out... Same with the Amps... also a lot of ppl i know that got broken into said well if u have tinted windows that deters lots of thiefs.... not so at all!! In fact most ppl who see tints usually think the opposite and that there is something in there to hide worth stealing...
My best suggestion is that you check out what you can get your insurance company to do... as well as be a smart driver (Park where you can see your car, under lights, near camera's, and don't advertise when coming into a parking lot...)

I had a near break-in, or at least i think it was, on my truck... Some kid was in my truck bed trying to open my rear window... luckily he was scared shitless when i started running at him in the mall parking lot.

It can happen to anyone and it has happend to a lot of my friends... so just be careful where you park your car.

yeah thats a glock 40.. i want something like that for my 21st birthday.. but thats 3 years off :(

but yeah.. i think tint will have both effects... if they can't see it, its going to make them more curios.. but if they can't see in.. how will they know about that $700 deck you've got?

^^^ true true its just that its soo easy to smash a side or rear window real quick without someone seeing you... so what if you dont have anything in your car they are automatically going to think that its at least looking in their... if u have regular windows and your stuff is hidden well then there is no worries...

IMO Scytek astra 777 is probably the best choice out there: Includes 1-2way remote 1-1way remote and has a 1200ft. range. These are great lil alarms and can ussually be found for less than a Pyle watchdog alarm with the same features... Retail for $179.99 and I sell them regularly for $149.00/ $199.00 installed.

Secure the stuff good, but don't try to make it impossible to steal... one of my buddies did that and since they couldn't get anything out... They torched the car with everything in it.

Also like Bill said; talk to your insurance company and get a rider policy for the equipment, cause if someone does manage to steal it... at least it's covered. To many people think that full coverage insurance covers everything... It Doesn't.

So I guess the key thing here is the alarm then to attract attention if they try to break into the car?
I found that Scytek Astra on a website for just 81$ + shipping. Are they easy enough to figure out how to install yourself? I don't have a trunk to worry about as I have a truck.
BTW, I don't have electric locks, and I'd imagine that's a security hazard in itself since they can just pop the lock. I did it on a car I used to have in like 10 minutes and I had never done it before.
