EXACTLY! The "don't ask where it came from" mentality is terrible to have!

My shop was in the hood, and I actually had a guy come in with a leatehr car case full of CD's and try selling them for $5 per CD. Yeah, like those weren't stolen....

Ya shit happens.

I remember buying equipment from a junkie before... At first I didnt think much of it, then I figured out where it was coming from...

Needless to say, after my 3rd amp I got for $100 I said no thanks from there on out... Before he come and stole all the stuff he sold me...

I see sooo much stolen stuff come into my install bay pretty regularly. I really hate doing it, but it's money for the store.

I had a guy come into my store once and try asking me what an Alpine 3339 display was worth, with a hacked in half cord, and no brain unit.

Sadly for him, it was worth a trip to jail.
The mexican stole it from my car the night before, and walked in to fence it in my store.

That's classic I mean it sucks that happened to you but at least you got justice from it more than what most people get.

We've had something similar happen before. One day, when we were busy, we had a Pioneer 5700 DVD indash stolen from us. The very next night, a guy came in looking for the wire harness and owners manual for the exact same radio. Fortunately, we still had the box, so we checked the Serial Number's, and sure enough, it was a match. We took the deck back from him, told him to leave, and never come back. Sad thing was, he got it off of someone on the street. He lost whatever money he payed for it.
