Here I am bringing up Xsite again.
The XAD1200 1200wrms @ 2Ohms, gets you little closer to your goal, but I still agree with the others in that... It's much more than what you need and keep in mind that even though Diamond may have said it could handle it, that doesn't mean they will warranty it if you blow it (just warning you).

Anyway, you still wanna know the price... For CAC Members Only! $339.00 plus shipping (normally I sell for 389.00 and retails at $439.00)

i know a guy who competes in meca and in dbdrag with 4 d3s and 2 american bass 700.1s diamonds can take plenty of power. rms and wattage doesnt really mean shit to me anymore. there are so many other variables that affect powerhandling. but i guess its a good start. 1000w should be fine.

thanks for all your input. i would rather just run 1kw but the tech guy at diamond said that since its would be in a 4cf box that it could actually take way more then 1500. Now one more question i am torn between a 200 amp and a 160 amp alternator, my stock is 117, would it hurt to have a bigger one then nessesary i am lost when it comes to that

Won't hurt to go with a bigger alt and it leaves room for expansion down the road without having to upgrade again :)

Just a thought on replacing the alt, you might want to check with the manufacturer to see what the limit is on your power system to see what it can handle first. Nearly doubling the factory specs (117 to over 200) could fry the cars computer, or do other damage.
I had a Crown Vic with the PI package (I believe it had a 170 amp alt, and the regular CV's had around 130) and I had a system with 2 solo-baric s15d's in it, added an extra battery in the trunk and the lights never dimmed or flickered.
Regards,
Rick

It can't fry anything unless it's not correctly installed or you do something really stupid :)
The alternator is only going to put out as much power as is drawn from it.

Ok think i will go with the d6100.1 for the sub. Now i believe i will be going with the d3 6.5, now they take 60 wrms, do you think i could get by running them off the hu or do you think the 15 will drown them out too bad?

You could run them off the head unit to start... but I'm sure you'll want to amp them down the road.
