no. click on the forum button first(not faq), then click on the "faq, guides, and information".

so i picked out a few brands of subs. what is suggested. i have a 2002 silverado ext. cab and obviously little space under the rear seat. i do not know the dimensions for a box to hold two 10s. anyone have an idea or anyone made a box for a truck like mine. I need subs that will fit and have sufficient air space, so based on what i have read these are the subs i picked from the FAQ good, bad, ugly list: Accendant Audio, Boston Acoustic, Alpine (Type-X), Diamond Audio, JL Audio, Kicker (Comp VR), and JL Audio. I just picked these because I have read other people have them but are they good enough for my truck? I am on a budget but I am more concerned with which sub will fit underneath and sound good as per my previous post.

look at the alpine type R, instead of the type X.
all around better sub for your application.

As far as enclosure is concerned the enclosure for your truck is mass produced in the prefab industry. I am not recomending prefab by no means however, but if you go that way be sure to reinforce the inside of the box. I second Glass on the Alpine Type R. Also, the CVR and Ascendant are very good subs as well.

what to i reinforce the box with if i go prefab? and what Ascendants will work for my truck? I have a Rockford Fosgate 501 bd amp (300 x 1 @4 ohm, 600 x 1 @2 ohm.) Is it difficult to build a custom box for two 10s? How can I get one with an amp rack to put my amps (one for subs, other for components)?
Thanks everyone, sorry for all the questions.

If you have a tablesaw no it is not dificult to build a box. With prefab boxes I always reinforce with chunks of 2x4's other may have a better method. I would probably just go witht he assassins unless you are wanting more. THey are single 4 ohm coils so a pair would split that 600watts. As far as finding a box with a rack on it, I would say just look around, see what you can find. There are people on this forum who build boxes if you wanna go that route. Just ask and they shall make known.

where on the box do you reinforce? and about the assasains, how do they sound? i like my music loud and clear and also to be able to hear that bump inside and outside the truck. have you heard of diamond audio subs and are they good for my application. what others would you suggest with the amount of power i have.
