we need a better AC.. it works, but towards the back of the house its not as powerful... and it blows cold but it doesn't really fill up the house... overall its still pretty warm sometimes. like right now its somewhat comforatable, coul be better though.

Well I went out @ 11 something alst night and bought one @ Wal Mart.
WOuldnt fit into the car plus they didnt have a 220 outlet/plug...
So today I went to Lowes and spent $400 on one, all of my audio money
.
Got home and it had broken pieces and the case was abit beat up. SO I took the broken pieces back. THey gave me 10% off but I had to buy a $40 bracket to support the 170 Lbs beast!!!!

Thats when you use a couple 2x4's in a shape of a T.... :happy055:

220 draws less current, but power companies don't sell current, they sell wattage
Main cost savings in 220 is that you can run smaller wiring. But the other side of that is that smaller wire drops more voltage. Your big appliances are 220V simply because the wire size required to run on 110 would be enormous.

for 40 dollars I would of made my own bracket... dont you work in a machine shop?

I do, and thought about that.
Simple fact is, while Im at work I just dont have the time. Even if I did I would need my own material or to pay for what I use, then my time to do the work.
Easier to pay the $40
