why is my ground so noisy? couple questions

I used to have noise problems with my speakers too. Make sure that your power wire is not crossing with your RCA's.

Also, make sure your RCA's are not crossing any vehicle power wires. They might be getting interference from the vehicle's stock electrical system. I figured out that was what it was on mine by playing the HU while not installed in the dash and then jiggling the RCA's from the HU all the way to the amp. Took me about halfway to find out where the interference was coming from.

ill try that too, but i sanded down the grounds more and the noise is less extreme now...but its still loud enough to annoy. Its not just the whine of the engine...there is some crackling going on too, and im afraid that crackling will hurt/harm my speakers.
