Well i just bought the truck last year september, and i haven't had the need for a/c because it was the cold time of year. How ever when i did turn the a/c on a while ago the air was not cold at all really.. so this lead me to belive that it needed a recharge. The thing that makes me wonder is that according to the shop teacher it was working fine before he serviced it, he said so himself, " Well every looked ok, and once we re-charged it she was blown out cold air reall nice" his exact words. I'm not going to jump on him, i 'll wait until monday and see what he says, i'll proly just take it to my uncles shop and have him look at it tuesday if the shop teacher hasn't found anyhting yet. Yes i do agree it sounds like an electrical problem now.

"How long before it blows the fuse?"
It blows the fuse almost instantly after i plug the a/c back in and turn the truck on.

Other than the valve seals/guides & fuel pumps the 4.3 tbi's arent that bad...
Speaking of crappy trannys, you have the mazda 5 speed right?
I've had 2 2.3 lima powered rangers, both were tanks... Word of advice for you, replace the factory rubber plugs in tranny with domain cups, 95% of those trannys deaths are due to having no fluid...

Well i talked with my uncle who is a mechanic today, and he thinks the problem is the clutch itself or a pressure switch.. But because the fuse is blowing he thinks it's probably the clutch. Any one selling an a/c clutch for this truck?

Dorman plugs, replaced them when I did the tranny swap (converted from Auto to manual). Really that's the only problem with those trannies, though, other than bent forks if you shift really hard. But if you speed shift anything with less than 100hp you're retarded to begin with :) .
Never was a 4.3 fan. 90 degree V6s aren't the greatest design and only came about because they already had V8s to base them upon and it was cheaper. With a 4.3 they might as well have given you the extra two cylinders and left it as a 350. The GM 60 degree V6s are great engines, though, especially the 3.8L.
4 cylinders aren't really my thing to begin with, but the 2.3L is a pretty good one. Power wise it's a dog, but welcome to the 80s.
Perhaps I'll consider a GM truck if they ever decide to build one again. It used to be that GM offered the best powertrains, but they don't anymore. Topping that their platform engineering sucks monkey nads. It'll suffice for the occasional hauling of flower pots and trash bags, though, more than enough to satisfy the suburbanites.
Now what about S-10s and Blazers? I've seen maybe 3 of those that didn't end up being a massive pile of fecal matter
