Sub or speaker first

Honestly I am the same way, comps before subs. But the average listen (notice average) will want the sub, and won't care about the mids and highs.

But comps wont make the honeys uuuhhh and ahhhh. It's just really what you perfer.If your stocks aren't to crappy, I'd stick with gettin the sub first, then save up for a better comp set, instead of just dropin what you have now.

I'm kicking myself for getting my sub first, I can't stand these horrible stock speakers. This is what I'm basing my comps first opinion on.

Speakers make the biggest difference IMO. It's 8 octaves versus 2, no brainer here

Just get them all at the same time, that is what credit cards are for :)

Seriously though, it really depends on your personal preference. Just think about what you desire most and go with that. I listen to a variety of music so I would go with the comps first because they will make everything sound better. If you listen to mostly rap then getting the sub first might be the best decision. Again, it is really about what you prefer to listen to and how you want it to sound :happy055:

No j/k required, it's pretty safe to say your statement was true. I'm considering just putting some strong 8s like some Peerless XLS 8 inchers or SEAS L22RNX drivers in the doors IB. They're pretty solid performers that will do good duty down low as well as transition with the Excel 4.5" drivers I'm getting.

just get the amp...I guess I am in the middle on this one.

That way nothing sounds good, bass or the rest of the sound spectrum

lol haha. yah, I'm just being impatient, I should have enough for both in less than 2 weeks when I get my paycheck. Then I just need money to install it haha
