Help me decide please
About the only thing I can really speak about on that list is the Kicker KX350.4, I run my four Infinity CS off of one and I love it. If set up right it produces good clean power from my experience. Even with my system maxed my components sound crips and clear considering the volume they are at (not that they sound like poo just more like they are really friggin loud and the tone of Nora Jones voice is crazy high sometimes) but all and all I'm very happy witht he amp.

yes make your own, It may not be as pretty as the 350 dollar box, but youd save 300........and I'll take my ugly box with the 300 extra dollars :)Yeah I have no idea what a box goes for that has the right cf and is tuned correctly...so I put $350 as the max cost I would pay for a box. If I can't get a decent price on a box I will try to make it on my own.

+1 to that...which is exactly the reason I may just have to buy the box...but we'll see. I am checking around first. I think I will either get a rear-firing box, or try to build a baffle that cuts off the entire trunk, but I think that would be extremely custom made...which means $$$. I'm just not sure how much trunk rattle I will get with a rear-firing box. I would probably want a sealed box because they provide better SQ if I remember right.GlassWolf wrote:I'll take a box that's built right over one done in someone's back yard with no experience :)

sealed gives a flatter response, which not everyone really wants. flat is good if you want accurate with no boost in the bass, but since most people want the bass accentuated, I'd say go ported. more bass with less power, and better results in most ways realy.. except for group delay, which you'd likely not be able to tell audibly anyway.
forget an IB setup with a baffle unless the subs are designed for IB use and your trunk is sealed off from the rest of the car very securely (read: air tight)
