I know someone that has a couple 10" sonys.. i laugh every time i see them, mainly because its a hatchback and they'll probably get stolen. but they sound horrible and don't get too loud..

its all install
the subs seriously dont matter, to an extent.
Drop those sony subs into a hardcore SPL box and watch magic happen.
true Xmax doesn't always tell ya much. I was hitting what would be in the 140s on today's termlab mics, with two 12" subs that had 5.5mm of Xmax, but a lot of that came from being in a small hatchback, with a large vented enclosure.
too little information to even discuss the elevation deal. at the dash or mic, type of vehicle, install, etc. I think 168 is possible perhaps, but not in a conventional sealed or ported enclosure and not without a lot of work to calculate wave length termination etc so all the vehicle would do is SPL.. no musical uses.
Woah, who the fuck said they were only using 3 1500 watt amps? Yes, they hit 168dB, it's in a walled Blazer. They weren't using 3 1500 watt amps, I'm not sure what they were using to power it, I'll find out. Tons of electrical upgrades, tons of batcaps in the back. Doubt it all you want, but your ass isn't hitting 149 with a single 12" Alpine Type-R.
i havent done anything spl related with elevation audio yet but i think they have the potential of getting extremly loud. justin have you sold any of the execution subs yet i wanted to know how they were?
