I sent $3.00 Canadian, which Ryan said turned out to like $2.76 after conversion. Sad, I know but that's all I had in paypal and I don't have a credit card to do a fast transfer into my paypal.

Grand total as of this posting $78.17

That includes my $10, Bills $20.

The guys over at Aleromod are coming through also. I figured I would post it over there as well as Ive been very active there also.

Wide Open Throttle Technologies, Cavaliers60 and one anonymous donor from there chipped in a total of $36

Here we Got Bill, myself, Northquad and Tim upto $32.17- Damn you North and your canuck money

:D

Good job guys. Between both forums I feel we will hit $100 before the end of the night.

I'll match that. I'll send it tonight, it'll probably be pretty late though.

Ok guys with that and another $10 from Aleromod were done.

$108 total collected in total. Thanks to all who have donated. Im sure this family will be touched!

I will be picking up a Wal mart gift card tomorrow on my way home from work. Put it in a card and I will tuck it inside the tree box.

Friday evening if they havent sent me an email, I will be sending them one.

Hopefully we will have some sort of reaction I can post for all to see.

I would put a note in there just to make sure it don't end up in the trash.

Next year we'll get an earlier start.

Well the people we collected for are not responding to emails.

They wanted to pick the tree up Friday morning but I wasnt available- I work.

I told them i would drop it off to them, but no response.

If i dont hear back by 6 tonight I will be refunding everyone their donations. I dont feel comfortable selecting a new family for the charitable contributions you guys made. Just feels like bait and switch to me and I dont like it.

So 6pm is their cutoff.

Justin I will be finding a home for the tree and the ornaments. Lighted tree isnt worth much without ornaments... Now to deal with the email onslaught again.

Didn't they list a phone number on one of their emails. Maybe they don't have access to a computer on a regular bases... that or they are scum who live in a big house with 4 cars which they didn't want you to see.

I don't know what to think here. If you can find a family who you think deserves it, by all means donate the money to them (at least my portion.) If nothing else, check your local food pantry or something...

Who the hell knows, I just hope this family is happy, they just ruined Christmas.... J/k :happy055:

If this family doesn't want the stuff...

Contact a local charity that would know of a family that could really use it. A single mother with kids or something. They're out there and the charity service would be better to deal with than people on craigslist.

Also, churches would know people.
