Yeah, faded red has to go. I have a brand new fender and cab corner waiting to go on. I need to get a gallon of primer so I can start on the body work. The truck has had a previous paint job, I don't know if it was a really crappy one stage or a primer, but I'm going to pretty much take it down for metal.

I'm doing the paint job by myself, probably use PPG. I'm going to do a base/clear. I've had some paint experince and I have started doing some research now. Hoping to have it painted at the end of jan or so.

I picked up some of the smaller profile file mirrors a week or so ago, decided to go ahead and switch them out today.

I'm going to start on the body work within the next week or two. I'm considering getting the body all prep and just having Maaco shoot it.

I'm going to pull the bumpers, grill, taillights, door handles, mirrors, etc, and just trailer it up to them.

I completely understand you get what you pay for, but it should be good enough for a year or so... I'm really good about keeping my cars cleaned/waxed, and it will be kept in the garage most of the time, so hopefully it'll be OK until I get time to do it myself.

I want to buy a fox body mustang at the beginning of the year so I can drive it while I do the drive-train in the s10, so I can just do it all at once and not rush it.

Oh, I got a new TOM-TOM today, I'm going to build a fiberglass pod for it (on top of the left front speaker.)

I've seen a few Maaco jobs, one being in black, and they looked great in my opinion. I've seen shittier jobs.

I'd use Macco.

It's not like it has to be top of the line award winning paint, does it?

Yeah, just needs to be red and not pink.

This belongs to a guy I know. The paint is 5 years old, maaco's top of the line though... He prepped everything and had them jam/paint it... Looks really good in person...

This is the fox that I was wanting to buy, hopefully he still has it at the beginning of the year.
