DC rates there product at 1000rms for a reason, saying that they will take that kind of power is going to cause issues down the road when someone who doesn't know as much about audio as you or us puts 1500 rms on it and it blow's up. When rusty gets a call and hear's "well my dealer said it could take it y wont you warranty it" he's not gonna be a happy man. Rusty is a very good personal friend of mine i want to protect him and you bro.
Thats y you see my response being very vague, just because you and i know it can handle that power doesn't mean people should put that kind of power on it.
And that's why I pointed out and agreed with you on making SURE it's clean power.

If you were having voltage issues with 1000 watts, then you will surely run into problems with 1500. 1) Make sure you're running proper wiring to support the system (including the big 3), 2) Make sure you have enough reserve capacity with your battery(s), 3) Make sure you are creating enough power by having a large enough alt.

And every newbie will tell you that his 2 legacy 3000's with the gain all the way up will tell you it was clean power. just cause you say clean power doesnt get your point across.

He is also 100 percent right you would be severely under powering those 4's because the mechanical suspension would be to stiff for that level of power. you would probably see a substantial drop in output over the level 3
haha, yeah. He's a couple hours drive away and I think he's a dealer for DC on his own time. As in, he has a job besides selling DC (probably to pay the bills). But he sounded like a great guy on the phone. Not flakey like most of the other guys I've spoken to. I like it when people tell me the truth rather then tell me what they think I want to hear. That's probably why he's a DC dealer. If you're friends with the DC owner I'm sure they're all top notch.

It should be fine is not a misquote smart ass, there is also a diffrence between 1200 watts on the hifonics or 750 from the autotek and 1500 rms daily.

no one here has actually quoted dc audio. therefore a misquote cannot be inferred due to a lack of actual quote.....and im not being a dick, but as i see it the op asked a question, you told him it was ok, mike said it was ok and did not reference any company or dc or rusty and you told him he was wrong to do what you did.....i can sorta see saying a specific amp or amps would be ok vs. just a broad spectrum analysis of a power rating with no other information but since your complaint is based on what a newbie would do or how they would respond i feel your answer to be as inadequate and without substance as any that you have found fault in...

now im being a dick
