Here is the specs on your amp in this link (pdf): http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu816J_FJGZcA5gBXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEyZDRyOTBlBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDNwRjb2xvA2FjMgR2dGlkA0NTMDFfNzY-/SIG=13iuv53vo/EXP=1240627450/**http%3a//www.qualitycaraudio.com/store/manuals/LA498-598-698-798-898-998-1098-1498-1898-2098.pdf

I thought the way I had it wired on my speakers is a 2 ohm resistance, The speakers are 4 ohm DVC.
The way i have each speaker wired is in this diagram Parallel DVC Subwoofer Wiring: http://www.klausaudio.com/subwoofer-box ... iagram.php
The top diagram but I have two speakers each wired to separate channels one of two channels. Doesn't that mean im running 2 ohms per speaker of does the change when I hook them up the the separate channels?
Should i be bridging the speakers?

2 4ohm DVC subs can only be wired in two ways. one being wired in series which will present a 4ohm load to your amplifier, the other is wiring them in parallel which will present your amplifier a 1 ohm load.

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/w ... ofer_imp=4

this should help. the one on the top is wiring in parallel and the one on the bottom is wired in series.

your not bridging the subs, your bridging the amp. so you can take this 2 channel amp and essentially make it into a mono channel. anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong.

he has 1 speaker on each channel by the sounds of it, at 2 ohms per channel.

nothing wrong with that if the amp is 2 ohm per channel stable.

if you wanted to bridge the amp, you'd have to run the speakers in series with each other, getting a 4 ohm load.

so your amp will still make the same power because each channel sees 2 ohms in either situation.

Thats what i thought, I have a 4 ohm DVC, and I wired the subs parallel so that means each sub is drawing a 2 ohm resistance.
correct me if im wrong jgs07, but I think I wired it correctly.
Thanks for the input.
here is the spcifications of my amp model LA 798

The link in the last post on the first page works.

The amp is only 2x125w at 2ohms. If you think it sounds good with that try using something like this http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio ... ctID=19710. and you will truly be impressed. Those are some good subs and they need some power the get their full potential.

Okay, my bad as I thought they were run parallel to each other and not separately.

Still you're only getting 125w to each sub, so I'd look into start saving for a better amp to be truly impressed ;)
