Set it by ear lol. I use a DMM and a Clamp to test if you dont have access your probably better off doing it by ear.

were you using a 0db test tone within the pass band of the driver?

is it possible you had a crossover setting that was affecting the frequency of the test tone?

everything on the amp was turned down all the way down so my subsonic filter was at 15hz (i think thats the lowest im going off the top of my head) and the low pass was at its lowest too( im guessing its 35hz again going off the top of my head)

Thats part of your problem as well. Your lowpass lets frequency's below the set frequency to play turn that the opposite direction should be 120 to 250 hz. Your subsonic is fine that allows frequency's above what its set at to play and should typically be slighty lower than your tuning frequency.

ya, if you had a low pass of 35hz and a hp of 15 hz, i think everything would have been filtered down like 3-6 db.

the low pass should be between 80 and 120, maybe lower depending on your goals.

Holly shit bill, what slope are you running 48 + db an octave?

My x-over is set at 63 Hertz 24 db on the sub, 100 Hertz 24 db on my mids and it blends pretty damn well.

I really don't like running subs past 80 hertz 24 db cause they start to become more noticeable with the sound stage. Remember at 160 hertz (one octave above 80) your only talking about a cut of 27 db.

Change the x-over points to 250 Hertz 24 db and your talking about a 27 db cut at 500 hertz. Once you get into that range volume starts to play a part in staging, so even a 27 db cut will still be noticeable.
