If you're not running rears than why even look into a 4 channel? As I thought you were already running a separate amp for your sub(s).

yeah i am running a seperate amp for my subs. but i thought he meant rear fill as in where the stock speakers are in the back not my subs.

Exactly!... Are you going to be running any rear speakers? If not than look into a 2 channel for the components.

could use a 4 channel if he had an active crossover. or a 4 channel that has crossovers built in. also, bridging a 4 channel to get 2 channels of higher power is good.

everything i mentioned above requires a little bit of knowledge so you don't mess something up tho.

Yeah, with his set-up a 2 channel would probably work just fine..

hmm i didnt know that, and the hifonics zxi amplifiers are bridgeable so i can bridge it two channels and ill get more than enuff power going to my components, and then later on if i decide to run some components in the back( wait i can do that right?) ill just use the same amp to power them up.

You would need to redo the config to go back to four channels. but yeah I think you would be alright with that.

You do Not want components in the back... It'll throw your staging completely off and trust me when I say you'll hate the way it sounds.

I just noticed he did say components in the back didnt he.

A good rule of thumb, If you go to a concert the band is not behind you, the band is in front of you.

If you really want speakers in the back another option would be to fade them as far forward as you can, if you can turn your head and hear the rears they are to loud.

Yeah, you can bridge it, but then youre going to be running TWICE the recommended rms...

If you dont bridge the amp youre going to be running HALF the recommended power...

4 x 55-Watts RMS @ 4-Ohms
4 x 110-Watts RMS @ 2-Ohms
2 x 220-Watts RMS @ 4-Ohms

The amp just isnt a great match for your components...
