Well our snow turned to ICE real fast and it sucked... Although there was a couple corners I had fun drifting the minivan around today (wife beside me: "Hey Knock It Off!" My response: "Who says you can't drift a minivan :D "

We normally don't get too much snow out here in Western WA, but we got dumped on yesterday and more forecast for this weekend. I made it in the snowstorm to the park & ride (20 mile drive on two lane highways) where I catch a vanpool yesterday morning, and since we heard it was worse on the other side of the Puget Sound, we decided to go back home (my shop manager rides this vanpool :happy055 :) . Another manager closer to the shop had his pickup slide its way down his driveway overnight :surprised The shop ended up closing later in the day. My F-body did quite nicely in the stuff (the same one I put the black painted wheels on with all-weather tires). I was even able to climb the hill home without having chains or studs, and this prior to sand and gravel being applied to the hills and intersections (we don't use salt).

Today, I thought was better for driving, but as soon as we made it to work, they closed the building and sent everyone home because of "inclement weather." Now with the forecast for this weekend, it looks as if Monday will be a snow day too, then If they do the same for Tuesday, I'll have the rest of the year off for vacation :p

Pff, I had a aerostar mini van (dont laugh) with a v6, 5 speed, and rwd with limit slip, it'd do donuts on dry pavement... :)

^ Yeah, But mines a Plymouth Grand Voyager w/ awd, so it takes a lil bit to get that back end to break loose... We went shopping last night and there was an empty parking lot next to the store with No stores in that plaza... I was kinda pissed since they plowed it anyway :( ... I was sooo looking forward to minivan donuts :D

Moving targets suck huh. It takes more skill to hit a stationary target. :excited:

I think we may be getting some ice tonite if the temp drops enuff and it keeps raining.

I drove a 95 Nissan Quest minivan for 3 years. It was aweful lol. I wish I had rwd and a 5 speed. At least I was in the 140's as far as dB's went.

we were in my buddies 03' Subaru Outback LL Bean edition yesterday and the day before... we were drifting awd... taking corners 35+ in 3-4 inches of fresh powder... damn it was fun...

I was freaked out when we went off the road and into a snow bank but he was like "chill this thing will get out of anything" and yep... 1+ ft snowbank was nothing to that car..

my cousin has an older subaru AWD. he paid like 500 for it, so naturally its already beat up.

he takes that think thru the woods, snowbanks, pretty much everywhere.... doesn't get stuck as easily as a truck with 4wd either. so I can attest to subarus getting out of anything...
