anything will work for snow plow as long as it has usable 4x4. my old boss has 2 early 90's rams with 383's in them that still run pretty good with around 200k on them and uses them every year. he paid like 600 bucks for his last ram and it runs like a champ. just dont hit anything with the plow, people get mad, lol.

Thats what I was getting at about the salt...

The full size bronco and blazers are usually cheap and easy to find..

If I'm able to find one before the plowing season goes into full swing, I will probably not worry about salting as that would jack the price up quite a bit for these subdivisions... I want to take advantage of an opportunity and not make it seem like I'm taking advantage of people, so if I keep the price low I could stand to make out more in the end.
Not to mention, I could also cut the people in these subdivisions a little break on the ones that want their driveways done since I'm already right there.

And anything like a full size Chevy (Pickup or Blazer), Dodge Ram, or even a Dakota or Jeep would do as long as it had a decent sized 6 cyl. or V8... obviously 4x4 is a must... I've just had really bad luck with Fords, I believe that Fords are great for Ford people, but I'm not one of them... Hence they don't like me :p

And no worries on me hitting things:
1) Full coverage insurance :D (better safe than sorry)
and 2) I used to drive the plow truck at the used car lot I used to work for... VERY tight spots with NO room to move, so an open road with maybe a couple cars parked on it would be a breeze in comparison.

Well if you dont plan on spreading alot of salt (maybe just driveways, ect) then you could get a salt spreader that slids into a reese hitch...

Or go even cheaper and just use the seed spreaders I have now (2 walk behind and 1 hand held)... I've used them for salt on my and my kids driveways in the past when we had ice storms and they work great cuz you only use what you need which greatly cuts down on the cost of salt :fing02:

^ LMAO :p
Well you have to account that most of these driveways in the subdivisions are an average of 40 ft. and 2 cars wide (where a 2 car garage is present)... So it would take me about a whole 2 minutes max to pull the spreader out of the truck, take 2 swipes (1 up, 1 back) with it, throw it back in the truck, and top off for the next one (when needed) that wants to be salted... So it's not like a hitch spreader would save me any time on these driveways and what I'd save one the price of the spreader and using less salt I put in my pocket :D
