Sorry to hear about it... I can't stand to hear about stuff like this. A video cam would be a great idea and if you come out with that semi-automatic you may not have to fire a single round just because of the intimidation factor.

Especially about the suspects?

yeah who said anything about shooting? I know not to shoot unless they attack me/its provable (if they try to draw a weapon or charge me i should be game)

The rifle would be for intimidation unless i they try something.

also, no word ont he suspects. they didn't fingerprint so we'll never know.

also with blanks i'd still get arrested for disturbing peace, etc. (with my luck)

Anyway got a new window in today and i'm considering getting an alarm, but we'll see. My local shop quoted $259 including tax and installation for a viper 1002 or some stuff like that.

nah i live in a small city thats part of a larger metropolitanish area (not really metro butyeah... like 500-700k depending whether you count the mexicans)

i live in a fairly tight neighborhood so if i shoot i'm going to wake up atleast 30 houses. No intention to shoot unless i feel the castle doctrine/law/whatever will cover me.

problems with blanks in that gun, is you have to restrict the barrel in order to create enough back pressure to chamber a new round.

do they make "less than lethal" rounds for that? cause i'd be more than happy to dump 30-60 chunks of rubber on them.
